Good Morning Los Angeles! Mother Nature decided to kick off her St. Patty’s Day celebration a day early as L.A. residents were given a rude awakening this morning by an eye opening earthquake.
Centered approximately 10 miles east of Downtown Los Angeles near the city of Pico Rivera, this earthquake registered at a 4.4 on the Richter scale and took place just a bit after 4am on Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
There have been no pertinent reports of injury or damage says L.A. County Fire Department Head Andre Gougis.
This quake follows recent seismic activity off the coast of Oregon which occurred only 22 hours prior to the Los Angeles Earthquake. Is the Pacific Coast trying to tell us something?
With the recent earthquake activity taking place across the globe, it is more important than ever to raise safety awareness amongst our communities, in the event of a large earthquake or other natural disaster.
Being prepared could mean the difference between survival and injury (or worse) for you and your loved ones.
